One of the impacts of video card temperature is air temps inside the case,
one of the components that can be affected is the Northbridge Heatsink,
which we meassured it's temps on 2 points on the fins of it:

The first places were held by the Accelero , The copper made heatsink
base helps a lot with the heat dissipation.
The V2 which is made of copper , which is considered good heat leading
metal, but it's small size makes it hard to cool, so you must use high RPM
fan, and it's not recommended for passive use.
The air temperature inside the case was measured in 3 points 5cm each
from the video card, and the result is the average of the 3 readings :

The results show that the bigger the fan CFM is , it will lower the air
temperature inside the case, the V2 showed lower performance again, very
close to the stock cooler.
The last test was of course the graphics core , under load and idle :

The difference between Stock cooler and the ones used in our test
is amazing , almost 30C degrees !
More than it's shows the quality of the coolers we used, which are great,
it shows us how poor the supplied cooler of the HD 4850 is.
Both Coolers didnt show any big difference between high and low RPM
fans, but the V2 is very effected by the air CFM on it, due to it's small
size, and the fact it is made of copper, which makes it harder to cool.
