First of all , we hope the technical details in this review will help people
to understand the importance of thermal compounds and the most
recommended way to use it, on the different cores and graphics cards.
As we mentioned , most of the compounds showed very close results,
which is a result of the high level of engineering invested in this products.
Price is not an issue in our review, since most of the compounds are
priced with a very close price tag, which is not high (less than 10$).
The biggest winner, by small margin though, of our review, is the
Tuniq TX-2 , which showed the best results in our review, aside it we can
find the Zalman STG-1, that showed very close performance to the TX-2.
Both of the compounds ( The TX-2 and the STG-1) were leading all
over our tests - when using with cpu and when using with graphics card,
and we would recommend them for any user.
The Tuniq TX-2 :
Excellent performance in any test and condition, and efficient in any
condition, low and high temperatures, easy to use, only lacked in
package, but some will find this package easier to use and better.
The Zalman-STG1 :
Almost same level of performance like the TX-2, althogh showed some
probelms handling high level of heat.
It's Unique design gave the STG1 some extra points in our review.
The Arctic Cooling MX-2 :
Excellent product , with results not so far behind from the leaders in this
review, easy to use, detailed insturctions included, with very good
results in our test.
The Arctic Silver 5 :
The Arctic Silver 5 , one of the most veteran product in the thermal
compound market didnt stand too far from our leaders, with good results
in our tests, although it's tube was less easy t use and using it.
The Arctic Cooling MX-1 :
Detailed package , good performance , not as good as the leading pack ,
but considering the fact it's successor is already in the market, we
estimate AC will take this product out of shelves.
Thermaltake Thermal Grease #1 :
The TT #1 is a silicon based compound , unlike all other compounds in
this review, showed lower performance compared to the rest of the
compounds, not suprisngly though, but still the results are lower than we
expected.
